There's timeline debate about the Nerevarine from Morrowind. There's something so beautiful about the game's design where you start from nothing and end feeling like an actual God. That feeling is intentional and you're supposed to question the prophecy as the story develops

The game really beats you over the head of everyone being doubtful of you being the Nerevarine but you're willing enough to complete the trials, you fit the basic requirements and you want to take Dagoth Ur head on. Why should they stop you? You might die, but you might not.
