His injury problems were entirely created by Celtic. He had barely kicked a competitive ball the previous season and we were so desperate for a striker we rushed him onto the pitch way too early. If we’d waited a few months, ease him in with the odd cup tie he’d have been fine.

Exactly my point. The desperation due to not signing anyone match fit ensured he missed most of the season. Now he’s back to full fitness he’s flying, but we wouldn’t sign him because he was an ‘injury risk’. Madness.
