Apparently it was a North Korean hacker team. In fact, I read that the sum stolen represents 18% of the country’s GDP. Which is mind blowing in itself. Since it operates entirely outside international law, the whole country is just one big terrorist organisation.

They were later relocated to Cannock Chase German Military Cemetery. FindAGrave has photos of their stones there.

They lay in state at St. Phillips in Portobello, draped in Swastika flags, and were buried with military honours at Portobello Cemetery. Proceedings were led by Lord Provost Henry Steel. Men from 602 & 603 Sqn RAF attended. They were re-interred in a German military cemetery in England after the war

The bodies of Kurt Seydel and August Schleicher were recovered from the Forth by a fishing boat off Crail. Their Ju-88 aircraft had been shot down by George Pinkerton and Archie McKellar of 602 squadron on 19th Oct. '39 after trying to attack the Royal Navy anchorage off Rosyth.
