@spmontecarlo.bsky.socialI used to be limited in my ability to write theory papers by my ability to do the theory. That's just absolutely and completely not a limit anymore. What's the right way to take AI results and write them up? Is it ever reasonable to just have the AI derivation or do I always rewrite it?
Show PostThe AI derived a time dependent perturbation theory result, along the way derived a new approximate volterra equation for the system, and was able to simplify a bunch of complicated integrals into much smaller and easier to compute forms using operator theory
Show PostOne that brought in pretty serious mathematical methods and spawned an important sub problem that historically I would have written up as a paper in its own right is figuring out how much the fixation rate increases during polygenic adaptation.
Show PostNext week! We'll be discussing non-normal hierarchal models, post-censoring measurement variability, "MPR", and more. There is still time, however, to add your questions to the queue. www.patreon.com/betanalpha/p...
