A lunchtime visit to Eastwell Lake, Ashford in lovely autumnal sunshine. The lake had Mallard, GCG, Coot & Egyptian Geese while a Little Egret was on a partially submerged branch. A corvid flush a Buzzard from a lakeside tree. The church had singles of Blue, Coal & Great Tit, Blackbird & Robin.

Today’s #patchbirding walk was out to the Hothfield waterbodies. On route I finally spotted 2 Egrets with the cattle on rural Godinton Park; sadly they were Littles [later they roosted at the Waterfall Lake]. Stonechat pair, Yellowhammers, Mipits & Skylarks at the flood gap. Nice sunset too.

At #Dungeness ,first thing ,3 Little Gulls and 6 Pintail in front of Hanson hide,and hundreds of Shoveller + 4GW Egret. Returning back to Hanson where I completely overlooked the 3 Whooper Swans directly in front of me !! 🫣 must get the ole peepers re-tested ! + a Snipe and a Kingfisher
