This is also why when we get informed consent on paper in the UK we’ll need to spend the first few years arguing with the NHS like “No, you CALL it informed consent but this person still has power over me and hasn’t been punished for abusing it” before we get ACTUAL informed consent

I did not participate in this hiring, so I don't know who the candidates were or what their qualifications are, but as someone who has devoted much of the last decade to public safety oversight, I can say this: this is not a way to build trust with community.
