I very much don't have the full scope of this and everyone immediately says "it's a mess I'm not saying anything actionable" But "Wizardry left in child custody bc Mommy and Daddy were fighting and kept finding next of kin to shelter the child against everyone's wishes" might be accurate??

Unfortunately I don't have this mapped out yet, I'm still working on the 81-90s stretch of Wiz in Japan (with intent to keep going), but everything I've gleaned lines up with that. Part of the problem is also that the wiz IP was being actively fought over most of the period directly(?) before this
