meeting me where I'm at i guess, like it feels like there's a glass wall between me and the viewer if they aren't risking embarrassment as much as i do whenever i post a drawing. i think layers of irony and memetic humor make me feel observed but not really seen in that way, if that makes sense.

i think my favorite comments on my art are the ones that are just straightforward descriptions of what feeling was evoked, aspects of the artwork that were appreciated, and/or how the work was interpreted overall. dryly and without a hint of humor or irony. it's always really cool to receive that.
