Went out to avoid Hallowe’en, which can be stupidly busy because people bus kids into the development in fleets of minivans some years. I’m a ‘make an effort for dinner’ person so was somewhat dressed up. Got asked if I was in costume as a college professor. Fuck. And. Off.
