How is the penile excommunication unilateral? That makes no sense to me. Is it like, only the bottom gets excommunicated? Cuz that sounds downright Italian if so. Sorry, I'm inappropriately curious. But I actually feel your larger point. I wish we had higher standards for a lot of behaviour.

We would go for “you made a covenant against evil speaking of the Lord’s anointed.” Sometimes I appreciate that Mormons are very strict. I just wish they would be strict about fewer things. (Also they have never excommunicated me though my penis has gotten a couple people excommunicated lol)
