DO NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS. RESIDENTAL SCHOOLS WERE A VERY REAL, HORRIFIC, CHURCH AND STATE-SANCTIONED FORM OF GENOCIDE. Residential schools left irreparable, permanent, intergenerational trauma on so many people and nations. It is present in our DNA, even. Do not let them erase this.
