Our slugs climbed about 2 meters to snack on tomatoes and cucumbers. What also helps is what's left after you brew your coffee (sorry,don't know the word for it). They are appalled by the smell of it. Besides, this stuff is a great fertilizer for very hungry vegetables .

I put on meshed polythene on my tunnel a year ago thinking it would last a few years. The sun cooked it brittle and the rain has basically punched countless holes in it. Ruined.
