I love seeing a woman succeed in this field. So many obstacles to overcome. From the age of seven, I wanted to be an astrophysicist. Even then, I would ask my teachers what the universe was expanding into. I worked my arse off, two jobs throughout my A-levels & university, studying astrophysics.

I even did my work experience aged 17 at Marconi. After uni I had my children, but there was no childcare. So instead, I've spent my years fighting for childcare, so parents can pursue their careers, earn a living wage, and contribute to human knowledge.

So my uncle (mum's brother) died in the night after a long illness & my mum, already devastated from having to have her dog put down LAST Friday night, now has to go on an unrefundable balloon ride, planned for yrs, this lunchtime & we're all so sad but this just the most sitcom plotline thing ever
