The right response to rising racism is to fight it tooth and nail, no matter whether it's directed against UK-born British citizens, naturalised citizens or immigrants without British citizenship. The wrong answer is to direct the cruelty towards immigrants, hoping to placate the racists.

Changing the ILR rules post immigration is so F’d up. My partner is German and is on a five year track visa to ILR - now it sounds like he will be moved to a 10 year track 😡😭. Along with their (lack of) policy on biodiversity, I’m very much not impressed with @labouruk.bsky.social.
