And the blurring of consent to only SOME situations would absolutely confuse children and they'd be reluctant to speak out because they don't know what's allowed and what's not. We teach children non-sexual consent first, before it's appropriate to even educate them about sexual contact.

What the government are saying here is that a child's safety is a secondary concern to an adults validation. My son went through a phase of "hugs only, no kisses" and you can be damn sure I respected that. Did I want to kiss his little head? Yes. Do I prioritise his agency over my wants? Fuck yes

Youtube would be 100x better if it dialled down its fucking recency bias. You watch just ONE video on a topic, and it suddenly assumes that is your entire world. I speak to lots of people who say the same thing. A simple fix, but there is ZERO feedback system. Google just knows best.
