"This is like abstinence-only sex ed!" Is there a single school out there that allows students to have sex IN THE CLASSROOM?! That allows teachers to do so? That insists that sex is in students' futures so we need them to be engaging in it NOW to build skills? What are these people saying???

"ai" discourse exploits our social patterns. we don't owe polite consideration to people who are rudely barging into every private space at once you don't need to grant the premise that it's good for something somewhere to say that it's bad here in front of you

Exactly! No matter what you are claiming to measure, the results can't be meaningful if they are based on a false frame. The claim that peer review can be automated is a false frame. And unfortunately one that has some advocates in my own field (computational linguistics/NLP). >>
