ACAB but at least our local bastards put some effort into their kidoween party. The mall thing upset me so much with their bad planning that if they try it again next year I'm ganging up with the parents in my Buy Nothing group and flashmobbing their parking lot with a Trunk or Treat. Bet.

No music, no candy drops, and no costume contest. Lots of very sad kids. One of the security guards went across the road to Target and came back with a ton of candy and had the mall cops handing it out to any kids in costumes and that saved the night.

The mall was upsetting. They've been heavily promoting a kids Halloween party from 4-7 with music and stores handing out treats, a costume contest, and candy drops every hour. They didn't tell the stores the time frame, so most handed out all their candy during the day. None left by 4.
