55 years ago today, Pink Floyd released ‘Meddle’ in the U.S., featuring the 23-minute epic “Echoes” and the wonderfully strange “Seamus.” From underwater soundscapes to barking dogs, the band made rock music feel like another universe.

A rainbow lorikeet at a nesting hollow. Note about ethical birding: I was far away using a long lens and this is a very public area. I don't think the birds in Adelaide's Botanic Garden are bothered by passers-by.

A sulphur-crested cockatoo at a nesting hollow at Adelaide Botanic Garden. These are regular city birds that I see often. Still quite magnificent to me and great fun to watch.
