It's turned a bit chilly here & I'm tempted to get my hat & scarf out, so this mid-week mushroom feels very appropriate! The perfecly named & wonderfully textured Woolly Milkcap (Lactarius torminosus). Loving that colour & the way the gills seep out white drops of "milky" liquid. #fungifriends 🍄🍄‍🟫

Just a tiny selection of the beautiful #fungi putting on a display in Affpuddle Forest. Loving the range of shapes, colours, sizes and textures* 🍄🍄‍🟫 *Although the texture of the Dyer's Maizegill (bottom right) was yucky being very like a cold, slimy, saturated sponge! 😅 #fungifriends #fungifriday

Quite possibly not the right kind of fly for #FlyFriday ....but aren't these lovely?! 😍 There is something so captivating about Fly Algaric #fungi. They are fab at all stages, but I most love them as a little knob, as pictured bottom left, very cute and just perfect. 🍄 #fungifriday #fungifriends
