We #travel by broom. The modern-minded use vacuum cleaners. Our familiars perch on the tips, the less obedient or well-balanced dangling in carry cases. A great migration back to our winter haunts, ghosts blowing through our hair, jack-o-lanterns smiling up in greeting. #vss365

The trick-or-treaters #taper out. As midnight approaches, marshmallow ghosts drift through the emptied streets, like puffs of smoke from blown-out jack-o-lanterns. This is just the beginning of their season, the dark months. But now is a moment of quiet, of contemplation. #vss365

I'm giving up #MusicChallenge & #vss365 all November to do a rogue #NaNoWriMo because: ADHD. This way every time I get an itch to check my usual suspects or see something go by in my feed while I'm scrolling and not writing, I will remember that I'm not allowed and should be writing.
