Aside from speaking more in general, anyone have any tips on getting your mouth on board with Japanese pronunciation? Pronunciation drills or anything like that? I still feel my tongue is constantly tangled and tripping over itself. #japaneselanguage

Do you know Lake Biwa 琵琶湖(びわこ biwa-ko in Shiga prefecture? 湖こko=lake 氵liquids 古old 月 moon Biwa is a Japanese pear-shaped lute. The lake looks like one. Biwako is famous for its blue, and so are the souvenirs you can get there. Would you dare and eat one of those? #japan #japaneselanguage #kanji

Words where it has the "original" meaning: 女の子 (おんなのこ onna no ko female child = girl) 女子(じょし joushi same as above, but more formal) 子猫(こねこ koneko child cat = kitten) 子供(こども kodomo child in general) Name+子 ko: several female names have ko at the end #japaneselanguage #japaneselesson #kanji #japan
