I don't know about kids these days, but I would have been bored to tears with Trunk or Treat. Just walk around inside a circle of cars? Where's the fun in that? Most of the enjoyment was walking the town figuring out the best houses and routes, finding other groups of kids, comparing notes, etc.

It has been SO QUIET tonight. So weird. My 13yo was out and she said it was super quiet, not a lot of houses open, not a lot of trick or treaters. She still got plenty of candy but I think we've had four groups at our house. 🤷‍♀️

For a while DPD was really pushing for the trunk or treat and it removes the whole aspect of meeting your neighbors and walking around the neighborhood. A group of folks said “we’re doing it anyway” & it’s been slowly growing. Someone made a treat map. I have faith

We saw a ton of dark houses that usually aren't, and way fewer people out than usual. Definitely weird this year.
