I’m very fortunate to have never lost a close friend before today (my fur baby was the hardest), but fuck does it hurt a lot more than an elder relative. I am going through the stages of grief and not in a subtle way. The first couple hours were “Well maybe it’s not true; I’ll text her in case.”

This morning feels better. I spent a couple hours late last night writing a Patreon post that may stay forever in Drafts. I snot cried on and off throughout it. I watched a ruby cloud sunrise and then it rained, two rarities for this time of year. A monarch reminded me the dead visit often.

The FTC and 20 states are suing Dollar General, accusing the giant chain of overcharging customers in their more than 20,000 stores. The suit alleges Dollar General has a pattern of deceptively and illegally overcharging customers. Millions of purchases may have been affected.
