I think probanly the most artful, honest "queer lolisho" work (as if that were a real genre rather that two descriptors) is Onimai, which manages to perfectly convey the transfeminine desire for a returned childhood. its tension- the impossibility of this desire- is unexplored textually

I had to read fuckers *in the industry* writing things like "Are videogame bosses obsolete?" before Dark Souls came out and everyone pivoted. Or with Pixel art, and platformers.
