Nice piece, Mark. All these candidates look a bit young to me. I'm reminded of what Michael Wilson said when Timothy Dalton was cast: "He has to look like a veteran." I've been yelling Aidan Turner's name for years now - seeing him recently in The Diplomat just cemented my opinion.

I still think Aidan Turner would have made a fantastic Bond. He may be a bit too old for the part now though, sadly.

If Turner or O’Connell are selected, the obvious title for the next film will be “For Your Ears Only”.

Thank you to the lovely listeners who called Done to Death 'a superb mystery', 'GREAT!' and 'a clever, breathless detective romp that keeps us guessing till the end' with 'such a great ensemble' and 'a nice emotional payoff.' You can listen now on BBC Sounds. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

Just bumped into this on my TV and was pleased to see you, and hear what you had to say. I'd like to see Dónal Finn get the gig myself but I'm sure they could all do a good job.
