If the 3rd party marketplaces/game marketplaces looked like they look today when I started learning how to be a GM, we would play a couple of sessions and never touch TTRPGS ever again.

#TYNESIDEGAMESEXPO Years ago I downloaded a free bus app to tell if buses were coming to my stop in Birmingham. And when. As I’ve travelled the country I’ve found it covers buses everywhere. And trams etc. I’ve just discovered it does this Metro as well! Some technology is good!

The main selling point of a #TTRPG is not mechanical. It is PREMISE. What do you do in the game? Why? This is why "genre-less rules engines" like GURPS have not slowly consumed and spit out the market leaders. "It can be ANYTHING!" "NO! In #Dnd you go in holes and murder things for gold."
