Carragher reminds me of so many people I grew up around - gobby, could be a good laugh but would go too far over and over again. Even the whole boxing adjacent thing. Just reminds me so much of a certain type of person. (Not saying that in a disparaging way at all, just I find him very familiar)

£1.25bn subsidy for Rolls-Royce to develop a new engine. RR will keep assets and income streams. RR had operating profit of £3.5bn in 2024-25, will pay £9bn to shareholders over next 3 years. Why are shareholders not funding new engine? UK Govt won't take equity stake, £1.25bn not repayable.
