it’s terrible!! 1. i had no vision into the actual structure of the thing because i was totally focused on the micro (like, am i introducing this concept correctly) and 2. i settled for writing that i wouldn’t have if it were on the page

i tried it last week. it was excruciating. it’s like: what if i could have less ideas and express them more poorly. and then kern it. one reason i don’t do it is because i like writing and i like doing layout and doing them both at the same time erodes the freedom i have in either.
