I was on the train yesterday and kept thinking about how comics specifically seriously needs a massive expansion of accessible grants and small scale publishers deserve some kind of v of the old FHA loan no I have no idea how any of it would work but gov injecting liquid capital would go A LONG WAY

The lower barrier would probably have to be smaller financially but even something like 500-1k per applicant would help artists enormously. I keep going back to the big problem with comics is the creators have no liquid capital and this would help solve that.
