woof even with a "slam dunk" case, litigation is a slow process and often expensive got into a car accident where the other driver unquestionably ran a red light & slammed into us it took 3 years for our lawyers to duke it out with the insurance company and get us some money

I used to work in litigation and it's so difficult. One client had to bring in his personal journals for discovery. Another got a settlement shortly before trial that amounted to only paying him back his $200k in fees. For every case with minimal work and a decent settlement, one came from hell.

It's almost hilarious how these people seem to think that suing is the end-all solution when it's so much more complicated than they think. You can really tell they've never had to go through the process themselves most of the time
