addendum - after a weekend of very warm spring weather, sleeping in heat, and a decent burl at lawn mowing I don't appear to have my old heat intolerance/sweating ALL THE DAMNED TIME. I can't say *all* these things are definitely related, but it's a really suspicious number of things going well.

i was being coy but they installed the fiber yesterday actually and i've been waffling over whether to cancel the cable or go back with my tail between my legs. but i finally got a static ip (actual static, not just static dhcp assignment, bizarre) and the tunnel works so maybe this is fine
