Granted I don't hate him or Doug in general (I think), but I'm just glad he is sticking to media he does care more about nowadays and has mellowed out (which would be a bad idea on paper, but his older bits are... just that, getting old).

Im reminded of a story in which the OP mentioned a girl from her class. She was doing a project and tried adding some personal flair (but not too much). The teacher disliked it, but encouraged her to make them HATE it by using her heart and soul. Art, above all, should be for the artist themself.

I’ve been trying to not engage with things I won’t like or realized I don’t like. Why continue interacting with something of I don’t enjoy it basically. I will still TRY new things, but I also will know when to move on if it’s not my cup of tea.
