a lot of queer people feel very comfortable demonizing testosterone and masculinity to the point that they treat T like the plague. when i was still on T gel i had people tell me that i shouldn't be allowed on public transit bc a woman could touch something i had touched and absorb the T.

this rhetoric is surprisingly common in queer spaces and made it so I didn't medically transition for a few years, in that time my body further developed in feminine ways that I can't take back and wouldn't have happened if I was on T earlier.

the thing I remember the most was when I was 16 and told that for trans men, "transitioning is not a morally neutral choice" and that if I medically transitioned, I would be making the world worse by becoming a man and needed to make up for that even more than cis men.
