EVERYONE in that class -- wealthy establishment Dems -- believes that their highest calling in life is to *discipline the left*. The owners & editors of the NYT have basically dedicated their lives to that calling. The vast bulk of political media is devoted to it.

I like to point out that the segregationist KKK wives in the 1950s were being truthful when they said they would be uncomfortable sharing a restroom with a Black woman. The solution to this is that "uncomfortable" does not justify discrimination against other people.

in the 80s there was a big push to oust lesbians from sports for being uncomfortable to cis white women in the locker room because they were assumed to be predatory by nature. Would be cool if society finally learned this lesson.
