Let's say I wanted to do an FEA on this thing's mandible (or cranium). See if it was, in fact, suited for ramming. Who can/do I get in touch with?

See, what drew me to this topic is that, based on accounts I've found from published literature, a lot of aquatic animals seem to get away with ramming with their snouts/heads without any obvious adaptations to it. In addition to Tursiops, arapaima, trevallies, sharks, and even crocodiles do it!

I painted this Pterro-Sphinx from @forgeofice.bsky.social a while back but did some touch ups and added verdigris tonight. A brilliant piece of scenery, go order one from Alex (in the US) or @fenrisgames.com if you’re on the other side of the Atlantic.
