I hate eighteenth centuryist Halloween. What do you mean you’re Mary Tofts, the English woman who, in 1726, convinced the medical establishment that she gave birth to rabbits.
Show PostDaily bunny no.3489 fits perfectly
Show PostIt also counts if the scene is a person explaining their assumptions to an expert and that expert correcting them with more precise history/geography/ethnography/anyhropology/biology/movie trivia/forensics. Ex. “Right, except rhino horn isn’t made of *bone*—it’s keratin. Like your fingernails.”
Show PostOnce you’ve got that, you knock out a quick, “hey asshole, I was looking over that sample you sent over and uh, is this some kinda sick joke?” for right near the end of Act 2 and you’re like 10% to your screenplay already.
Show PostWhen a scientist/veterinarian/doctor/coroner calls up an old buddy to ask them for a “second opinion on some uh interesting samples I’ve got here at the lab, so call me back when you get a chance,” that’s an easy scene to land. You can put that in, signal that you have your fundamentals at least.
