When you combine that with a very hamfisted attempt to equate a lifestyle choice with forms of oppression centuries old, it just confirms my belief that this particular type of vegan isn't deserving of much sympathy - and that's from someone who largely agrees with vegans

To be balanced I think some vegans often harm their own cause by being very vocal and practicing purity politics Obviously that's not all of them and they do have a point, but these individuals don't seem interested in reducing meat consumption, rather they just need a reason to feel superior
