I like how Burst is used in Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax. It's a combo escape, combo extender, and raw power up that has different cool downs based on how it's used, and the range of the burst can be augmented with supports, and you can choose to recover and empower it between rounds.

Its not rly a meaningful constraint, in fact u usually see it in place of meaningful constraints nowadays like how RE4make uses heavy accel to try & compensate for the butchery of the originals controls. A lot of this stuff doesnt even go that far think SOR4 accel
