ultimately just a very depressing statement any way you slice it. i never got around to playing uchikoshi's main games but i do know a lot of people deeply loved them and they are genuinely incredible, i believe that hes a very good author. its just depressing

and there are many aspects of the clarification that i do understand his point on or even agree with, its a very tough discussion esp in a field like video games which is built upon years of this kind of devaluing of digital work, so i appreciate that. its just. not good.
