I hope finally to finish the book in the next year or so for which I spent a number of productive weeks at the BBC WAC a while back. The collections are rich and I will also say the archivists were very helpful and among the kindest I have ever worked with. The new policy is absurd and must change.

To the point, this has been discussed in Alaska for 9 months, with an appropriate response, and just the weekend before the election, the NYTimes does an all hands on deck, desperately gasping for air, constant drum beat on the story. Did I mention Alaska has ranked choice voting?

the thing is it has been talked about the entire election cycle. i first heard about it very early this year and it's been adjudicated in Alaska courts. the only reason we're talking about it *now* is because Trump is using DOJ to push the story.
