It is pretty fucking depressing that the opposition party in Israel has the opportunity to remove one of the world's biggest villains from power (and possibly have him end up in jail) but refuse to do so because they would have to partner with Israeli Arabs to make it happen.

Vancouver’s best family-friendly Halloween scene is the Yaletown commercial district early trick-or-treat. Hugely popular, & a constant reminder that Yaletown would be SO MUCH BETTER CAR-FREE! Many families jammed onto tight sidewalks while a small number of entitled drivers take most of the space.

One of the reasons our street is so great for Halloween is that there are no driveways. The houses are relatively close together and kids can run from one to the next on one side of the street without worrying about cars.

Kids come to our neighborhood for Halloween every year but I have noticed fewer in recent years .. and I have a theory that “trunk or treats” are becoming the norm. And I hate it. The epitome of car- centric behavior.
