Every light in our house is off, but someone has still rung our doorbell. Sorry kids. We are old and candyless. (In a classic chicken or egg situation our neighborhood gets almost no trick or treaters so almost no one gives out candy which means we get almost no trick or treaters. ♻️)

Please remember that you don't have to earn Halloween candy, you aren't "being bad" if you eat some or even if you eat a lot, and you don't have to "make up for" eating it by fasting or other intake restriction. It's a once a year thing. Just enjoy some candy if you want some.

Guess whose absentee ballot for the Alabama General Election arrived today, when it is too late to mail it to be received before noon Monday? It took 11 days to get to me. The big Montgomery PO told my SIL that all mail going out of state gets routed through Bham first now.
