Was just gonna say Jake Lloyd got bullied so hard he quit acting. The vitriol was as bad as anything you've seen, but it was huge for the time. It was Everywhere. Monoculture was still intact so everyone talked about it.

Yeah I was a teenager at the time. This is complete nonsense. The backlash was immediate. This guy should probably read up about Ahmed Best and Jake Lloyd. They got brutalized in the aftermath of that movie.

I ended up caving and picking up Marvel’s Midnight first issues so we’ll see how those land. As someone of “What if Wolverine was Lord of the Vampires,” I’m an easy mark.
