The worst thing may be the people joyfully celebrating it and attacking anyone who’s not enthusiastic while it strip mines, dilutes, and destroys everything I love. The sneering sarcasm and warnings you’ll get left behind if you don’t enjoy the destruction of art. The destruction of meaning.

You try to Google and you get an AI summary you never wanted. Every app and website now has an “AI assistant” popping up that you can’t disable. All churning out the same mediocrity. It’s stripped the veneer off of everything and let you see the base motivations under the surface: buy, buy, buy.

This may sound dramatic, but I am finding the ubiquity of AI slop depressing. Every other instagram post is a creepy AI video or the ugliest flyer you’ve ever seen. You can’t escape it in the real world either: billboards, vehicle wraps, posters. It’s endless. The world is uglier. Less human.
