Also, the BBC are not right that the A66 scheme costs £1.4bn. It has been reported by Highways Magazine that the A66 now costs £2.67bn, up from £1.5bn at the 2025 DCO examination! www.highwaysmagazine.co.uk/companies-an...

The period the disruption caused by the building of the A66 has gone up from 5yrs to 9yrs. So much for Project Speed! This is very dishonest, as the cost of the chaos will have been underestimated when justifying the scheme! www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
