And considering that both Poria and Joshua were part of leadership BEFORE their new titles in June (check their LinkedIn page to see), this makes everything they are saying about "not repeating past mistakes" feel like an out right lie.
Show PostIt takes one decision to fire or keep someone. Ive been told the layoffs were planned in April. If that was the cause: when the unvaulting project was greenlit, why weren't some of the devs who knew the game and systems not retained? That should have been a no brainer.
Show PostHopefully, I can explain this clearly: regardless of a temp or permanent team was needed for the unvaulting and then the potential for D3 down the road, the fact that Bungie went looking for a partner in June... when they had the people who KNEW the game... is the problem.
