i work at an AI lab, know more about current developments than most of my coworkers, and haven't looked at twitter in years. the numbers may be there, but the _signal to noise_ is here and if you ingest news by volume rather than quality, you are cognitively unprepared for the present moment

i plotted all the benchmarks against cost & speed and this is the theme — it’s cheap but slow still, they’re finally comparing dLLMs to real models, and that counts for something left: cost vs score right: speed vs score
