I've used a few different markdown vault editors like Obsidian. it's great for an online brain for me and for agents, but synchronization for my phone isn't free. My most recent test is baalda.com. It has Mac/Windows apps and an MCP for agents. I'm self hosting but, they offer a generous free plan.
