I had to do three things in TX: 1) See Port Arthur, bc I had worked in oil for several years 2) See a friend in Austin and eat 3) Drive by Lubbock (I lived with a woman from Lubbock and another from Peoria in college and we joked which of those two plus Poway was worst)

My brother-in-law who lives in Portland said of Portlandia “not everyone in Portland is like that, but the people in Portland who are like that are EXACTLY like that” and I think maybe the same applies here
