Growing up without many friends, I saved up my pocket money for two years to buy a VHS recorder. I used it to record episodes of Star Trek The Next Generation on BBC 2. Which I watched over and over again. Captain Picard was a hero to me, and Star Trek gave me values that I have held for life.
